I think voices like hers are making me want to start initiating depoliticized conversations about the best way to help teenagers who express gender dysphoria. We certainly don’t want to end up harming them with unnecessary, or worse, irreversible and damaging medical treatments. The detransitioner community seems to be growing by the day, and it is heartbreaking to hear their stories.

I didn’t realize there are sex change surgeries being done on girls as young as 13 years old 😞. I thought we protected children from dramatic and medically unnecessary experimental surgeries, esp when there is no longterm data that proves that the operations and procedures are ‘curing’ gender dysphoria in adolescents, or that these procedures justify all the ongoing and serious medical problems that crop up as a result…

Yesterday I was talking on the phone with a beloved friend, when a chuckle and coffee sip fused to almost kill me. A seeming innocuous incident suddenly jettisoned me into spasmodic wheezing. This convulsive response quickly depleting all my oxygen within seconds. A sort of paralysis replaced the wheeze, as I began suffocating. The room seemed to darken, and I felt myself on the verge of losing consciousness… a quiet, detached voice informed me, “you are going to die now.”

On one hand, the activist media for the progressive movement is encouraging, via gender discussion, what they perceive as civil liberties: the right to self identify as a woman (or man) and having a legal right to formerly womens only or mens only spaces. Asd

In a contradictory way, however, mainstream news ontlets were blazoned with headlines about the blow to ‘survivors of domestic abuse.’ I could only surmise that they either did not watch the trial, or they are deceptively ignoring all allegations made by Johnny Depp and corroborated by AH, and medical records of physical evidence not just hearsay.

I’d like to give benefit to the doubt; that this propaganda comes from lazy, unethical journalists who have no problem spreading unresearched biases. And I do think an editor could never tease out how much of it is just this… But the more sinister interpretation I’m having is that media outlet activists for progressive movements do truly believe that power imbalances can only be corrected if underserved demographic groups form alliances and push back in punitive and retaliatory means, as a collective. This means that they justify sacrificing innocent victims (in the case of JD, whether or not he did the physical abuses she alleges is irrelevant to his well-being, as well as whether or not she instigated every physical altercation, which her self testimony clearly admits in at least many occasions. Because the trial was a symbolic fight against men who violate already established laws against physical abuse, and victimize women

Of course one always realizes that media outlets cannot be entirely free of biases, but it has been only recently that I have begun to realize the depth of these biases and the reckless way that journalists will forgo the facts to tow the party line for whatever company has employed them. I remember when I first noticed cognitive dissonance from my favored news outlets…it would seem they’d be happy about the wrong thing, or were falsely throwing shade on various politicians based on nothing… well anyway, I could write an entire article about how I came to realize this. But for now let me tell you it was not fun to realize how indoctrinating our news sources have become, preventing me from understanding the world well enough to make ethical decisions around politicians I want representing me.

These mainstream outlets who claimed to be ‘trusted’ only later proving not to deserve that trust. Outlets which I had depended for correct information my entire life, are starting or have been, promoting misinformation, probably in the name of the good cause they themselves would ethically justify. The far left belief is that ‘power’ is unevenly distributed between ‘men’ and ‘women.’ The literal people such as myself are left wondering how that divide is defined by this ideology, though, when these same activists are advocating that gender is whatever one wants it to mean so they can’t define what a woman is, since it is up to each person to decide if they want to identify as a woman.

Ok, so back to the trial and many major news outlets, from whom I used to ‘trust’ to provide me with reliable news, and btw not to meander farther, but this mistrust started festering years ago when one of my former favorite newscasters seemed furious that Trump wanted to pull out of Afghanistan. I thought I was on the ‘bring our troops home!’ Side! Then there was the stripper he had paid not to tell the world about their couple encounters. But I think to his benefit, her testimony made him seem like their sex was more than consensual, considering the second date when she removed his hand from her knee and they just sat there watching tv… but that stuff was mere bleep on the radar compared to the disconnect I saw from the media when they started hiding stories involving black people getting killed by protesters, or underserved communities getting bludgeoned by ‘fiery but mostly peaceful protests, leaving elderly home bound residents shattered with the knowledge their neighborhood has been destroyed, and worried about how they will get their supplies…

Ok, back to the trial!
